Day 1
Welcome to India Vacations! Our tour manager will receive you at the airport in Delhi and take you to your hotel for check in.Visit the various historical and cultural marvels of New and Old Delhi including the Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar , India Gate, Lotus Temple, etc the following day with a tour guide. Enjoy an evening rickshaw ride through Old Delhi – a truly memorable experience. Stroll through the bustling markets and bazaars and get a feel for life in India 's capital city!
Day 2-4
Early morning express train to Haridwar (5 hours) followed by drive to Rishikesh (1.5 hours). Rishikesh is a beautiful town nestled in the foot hills of the Himalayas. Experience a day excursion to the towns of Rishikesh and Haridwar. Rest of the days at leisure to do nature walks and river rafting on the Ganges River.
Day 5
Afternoon express train to Delhi (5 hours) arriving in Delhi in the late evening. Transfer to hotel for the night.
Day 6
Drive from Delhi to Agra (5 hours) or take the early mornign express train (3 hours). Check into the hotel followed by a sightseeing excursion to the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal. Evening at leisure.
Day 7-8
Mid morning drive to Jaipur (6 hours). Halt briefly at Fatehpur Sikri enroute to Jaipur. Check into the hotel followed by local sightseeing in Jaipur with a local guide. Visit to Amer Fort the next morning.
Day 9-10
Internal morning flight (1 hour) Local city sightseeing after checking into a beautiful hotel by Lake Pichola . Day excursion to the Jain temple in Ranakpur and Kumbalgarh Fort the next day with a local guide. Evening at leisure.
Day 11-12
Internal morning flight to Cochin via Mumbai (4 hours) followed by drive (1.5 hours) to Kumarakom / Alleppey.Kumarakom and Alleppey are two villages located on opposite banks of the beautiful Vembanad Lake . Relax at the resort and walk through the village or experience relaxing and rejuvenating Ayurveda massages.
Day 13
Boat pickup from the resort jetty. Cruise along the back waters by day and dock at a picturesque location by night. This is undoubtedly one of the most relaxing experiences to watch Kerala life at work as you watch the world go by.
Day 14
Drive from Alleppey boat jetty to Cochin (1.5 hours). Check into a charming hotel and stroll along the harbor to watch the fishermen cast their Chinese fishing nets. Visit the antique and spice markets for which Cochin is famous.
Day 15-19
Internal flight from Cochin to Agatti (2 hours). Transfer by boat if going to Bangaram Island. Relax at this eco friendly beach resort with luxurious accommodation on the beach. Enjoy delicious sea food cooked in Kerala style and water sports such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
Day 20
Internal mid morning flight to Cochin from Agatti (2 hours). Transfer to the hotel with the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 21
Internal flight to Delhi (3 hours). Arrival in Delhi followed by transfer to international terminal for departure. |
