A Beach Resort with Ayurveda and Yoga. Somatheeram, sitting atop a hill spreads over an area of 15 acres of lush greenery. Its accommodations are widely scattered down the contoured hills amongst the verdant coconut groves and other naturally preserved plants.

The accommodations consist of 50 traditional wooden houses, stone bungalows, and cottages with ensuite bath. The rooms are in various categories which are as follows :-

Siddharta : Built of granite stone with an octagon shaped living room, a bedroom with king size bed. Steps leading to a terrace with a view, an open courtyard with a palm tree and an open roof bath are added highlights of this category.

Illam : These are traditional Kerala Houses with antique furniture and doors. Each house has 2 bedrooms- one of these being a deluxe with a living room and the other being an ordinary room which can also be rented separately.

Aapurra : Another traditional Kerala house with 2 room option like the Illams.

Jeeva and Jyothi : These are also Kerala houses with two bedrooms which can be rented separately and are located on the slopes leading to the beach.

Nalukettu : The Nalukettu are traditional kerala houses with four bedrooms , surrounded by a verandah with an inner open courtyard and antique doors and pillars overlooking the ocean. The Cottage Cottages at the Somatheeram are round thatched villas, built of natural mud and bricks. The restaurant serves regional South Indian, Tandoori, Grill, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Among the facilities available at the Somatheeram Ayurvedic beach resort are - Doctor on call, Money changer , Room service, Money changing, Beach umbrella’s, Ayurveda treatments, Yoga and meditation etc.
